Robert Roylance MP
Member for Hammond
Robert Roylance is the One Nation Member of Parliament for Hammond, representing communities across the Murraylands and surrounding regions.
Based in Mannum, Robert is a local business owner and craft distiller who lives in the region with his wife and son. He is deeply connected to the communities he represents and brings a practical, hands-on understanding of regional life to Parliament.
Prior to his election, Robert operated the Walker Flat ferry and was actively involved in the family distilling business. His experience across small business and essential local services has shaped his strong focus on accountability, community engagement and effective representation.
Robert’s background also spans trades, defence service and education. He began his career as a wood machinist in the Adelaide Hills while serving in the Australian Army Reserve. He later worked in the education sector in Australia and overseas, gaining valuable insight into teaching and learning environments.
In Parliament, Robert is a strong advocate for improving education outcomes across South Australia. He has raised concerns around declining literacy and numeracy standards, classroom disruption, and the preparedness of new teachers entering the profession. He supports a back-to-basics approach to education, with a focus on core learning areas such as English, mathematics and the sciences.
Robert is also a vocal supporter of affordable and reliable energy, recognising its importance to households, small businesses and regional industry. Drawing on his experience as a business owner, he has consistently highlighted the impact of rising energy costs on jobs, investment and economic growth. He supports policies aimed at strengthening energy reliability and reducing costs for South Australians.
Committed to strong representation, Robert believes in accountability, community engagement and practical outcomes. He is focused on ensuring the voices of families, workers and regional communities in Hammond are heard and respected in Parliament.
